Karla Bartholomy was Roy Binder's very first cello teacher, she had a massive heart. As Roy's family struggled to pay for lessons she allowed them to barter in lieu of payment. It is in her memory that we established the Karla Bartholomy Memorial Music Scholarship. Roy's goal as a musician and a good human being is to continue her legacy of sharing music with students who may not have the resources to be able to study.
